This course will help you pass the SnowPro Core certification exam, which is a foundational exam in the SnowPro certification exam series. Being a foundational certification exam, this exam covers all the basics including Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses, storage, security, Time Travel, cloning, data sharing, and data loading. So even if you are not aiming to sit in the exam, preparing for the certification is a great way to get familiarized and become an expert at Snowflake.
This course is organized into several sections. Each section focuses on a particular area related to the exam. As we progress through this course, we will first go through a very important section covering Snowflake?s architecture. Once we have understood the architectural and foundational basis of Snowflake, we will explore user interfaces & connectivity options to understand how we can connect to our Snowflake instance and which tools can we use. Continuing in a logical manner we will then have a series of sections covering data loading into Snowflake, processing of semi-structured and unstructured data, and the data pipelines in Snowflake. Then we will cover some features unique to Snowflake such as Failsafe, Time Travel, Zero copy cloning, and data sharing. We then look into performance optimization techniques, and management of account costs through resource monitors before embarking on our second last section on Security.
Towards the end of each section, we have lectures that summarize the learnings of the section and finally a quiz to test and reinforce your knowledge.
The final section that you wouldn?t want to miss is the Practice Exam which will test your knowledge of the concepts learned in this course. The practice exam included in this course is not a guarantee of exam success but it will give you a fair assessment of your preparedness.
Snowflake offers a variety of certifications. SnowPro Core certification is at the foundation level and is a pre-requisite for other advanced certifications such as data engineering, administration, and data science certification. Because the SnowPro Core certification is a prerequisite for the advanced certifications, it?s the perfect way to start your Snowflake adventure.

Very good structure training, amazing content, and labs! Very helpful.
Overall this course is really useful for anyone looking to take the SnowPro exam. Although I have yet to take the exam the content covers the key themes you would expect to see in the exam (based on certification guide and FAQs on the exam from Snowflake), in as concise fashion as possible. The reason I don't give 5 stars is for the following reasons: 1. Some of the chapters have blocks of quite small text for 3/4 continuous b2b slides with no supporting visual aids, or clear breakup of the text and the instructor reads over these but not always in the order displayed on the slide, which is slightly jarring. The best chapters are where a variety of graphs and visual aids are used to illustrate the key points the instructions is trying to explain. 2. The hands-on assignments are verbatim following the example the instructor presented in the chapter earlier. To truly test the principles presented it would be more effective to ask the user to complete a task that was similar but ultimately slightly different to the one that was presented, and with clear steps in the task where the user has to work out for themselves the correct course of action 3. The instructor audio is very quiet, sometimes it's a little difficult to hear what he's saying if there's any background noise. If you want to take this course I strongly recommend making sure you are in a quiet environment or you use good quality headphones that block out background noise 4. Some sections are missing a summary to go over the key takeaways from the section. I found this useful when they are presented 5. Some of the knowledge covered in the exam wasn't actually gone over in the course. Very difficult to cover absolutely everything and for most part I would say coverage was excellent but there were a few examples where this wasn't covered in the course 6. There is only one quiz at the end of the course. Appreciate coming up with 100 questions is a lot of effort but to test and cement your knowledge it would be really useful to have 2 or 3 quizzes to complete 7. There are mistakes in the quiz e.g. the answer for Question 71 is wrong. It should be False and/or the wording to the question should be different. There are also duplicated or very similar questions, especially around network policy which appears 2 or 3 times in the test, and which of authorized or forbidden IP list gets loaded first, or column level security Lot of feedback given there, mainly in the hope it gets implemented when I go through this course again before my exam. Would finish off by saying despite number of comments above this is a very good if you're looking to complete the SnowPro certification.
